What does Prison Calls Do?
Prison Calls reduces the call cost from a UK prison to your mobile. This means that instead of a prisoner being charged the mobile rate for a call, they will only be charged the cost of calling a landline rate.
This helps the prisoners keep in touch with you by making their phone credit go further meaning you have more talk time on the phone. Rather than waiting by a landline all day to receive a call from your loved one, you can now be mobile and still speak to your loved one.
Is Prison Calls associated with the HMP Prison Service?

How does It work?
A dedicated landline number is assigned to you mobile number. Once the landline number is approved by the prison, the prisoner can contact you on your mobile.
Why do you need a landline number?
Calls to landline numbers are cheaper than calls to a mobile. Estimates suggest that to call a mobile from inside a prison can cost as much as 50p + per minute (this can increase depending on what time of day you call). However, to call a landline, calls can cost as little as 10p a minute.
